Experience, personalized attention, and statewide representation
Attorney José A. Dapena has more than 27 years of experience in civil litigation. He began his career in maritime law, defending claims involving cargo, maritime accidents, and personal injuries.
In 2002, he worked as in-house counsel for an automobile insurance company, an experience that gave him firsthand knowledge of how insurers investigate, evaluate, and defend claims. He later founded DAPENALAW, where he represents injured individuals and families who have lost a loved one due to the possible negligence of others.
Mr. Dapena earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology from Florida State University in 1994. He later received his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law and completed a Master of Laws in Maritime Law at the University of Miami School of Law.
His experience includes claims involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, maritime accidents, and other complex civil liability matters.
